Ashbury Heights haben sich aufgelöst, so jedenfalls der aktuelle Stand der Dinge.
Anders Hagström hatte sich bereits in den letzten Wochen mit seinem Label Out of Line verkracht und dem Label eine mangelnde Unterstützung vorgeworfen.
Bleibt zu hoffen das er sich vielleicht unter neuem Namen mit einem andere Label so Musik machen kann wie er sich das wünscht.
Ashbury Heights gab es seit 5 Jahren und veröffentlichten in dieser Zeit 2 Alben und eine EP. (2007 Three Cheers for the Newlydeads, 2008 Morningstar in a Black Car (EP),2010 Take Cair Paramour)
Kari Berg arbeitet wohl auch schon an einem anderen Projekt, konnte man jeden falls auf FaceBook lesen.
Am Freitag den 15.10. hieß es dann nur noch: “A really short goodbye”:
It seems I REALLY suck at writing these things.I removed the original letter because it seems I managed to upset a lot of people. I used poor judgement and my words were badly chosen.I actually spent two weeks trying to figure out how to best tell you all this, I probably overdid it.In the end perhaps the best thing to have done would have been to simply say it. So I’m just gonna do it again and keep it short this time.
Ashbury Heights has been disbanded because of irreconcilible differences between ourselves and our label Out of Line records.
This band has been my entire life for the last five years and it pains me much to see it end but the working relationship has become impossible to maintain.
To everyone who ever cared, thanks so very much.

Don’t worry, you know old bands always come back for reunion concerts and stuff, we’ll be back someday, of that I am sure. We may have to change our name and I might have to wear a diguise but we’ll be back.
