Blind Effects – eine Band die sich durch ihr musikalisches Wirken in Mitteldeutschland als hervorragende Liveband im Elektro mit Gitarreneinschlag bereits einen Namen machen konnte. Das Projekt um den Kopf der Band Lutz (Synthesizer und Programming) und seine Bandkollegen Andreas (Vocals und Lyrics) und Stephan (E-Gitarre), der seit 2009 das Duo unterstützt, kann seit der Gründung der Band im Jahre 2002 auf eine bewegende und stets erfolgreiche Geschichte aufbauen. Dabei sind solch kleine Highlights wie der Support von Project Pitchfork in Weißenfels und dem 4. Platz bei dem „Battle of the Bands 2009“-Kontest der Zeitschrift Sonic Seducer© nur zwei Eckpfeiler der Historie.
Anfangs als reine EBM-Band, konnte sie im Laufe der Zeit mit dem Erfolg des Projekts und dem experimentellen Interesse von Lutz weitere Genres einbinden. Dabei blieben sie aber immer dem Stil der Anfangstage treu. Trotz dem neuen Mix aus EBM, Dark Electro und Industrial bleibt die Musik der Combo unverkennbar. Die neuen harten Beats und die E-Gitarre unterstützen die Band darin, eine eigene Identität in dem großen Pool aus Elektro-Bands zu finden. Der Sound ist homogen und eingängig, tanzbar; doch verbiegt er sich nicht um tanzbar zu sein und wirkt stets bodenständig. Das beweist z.B. der Clubhit „Painkiller“, der im Mai auf dem nun dritten Album „Heartland Sound Formation“ vertreten sein wird. Für Fans der härteren Gangart, sowie für die stetig anwachsende Fangemeinde wird dies ein Pflichtkauf werden!
Blind Effects – a band that already became well known in Midgermany because of their musical appearance. This name stands for the intentional effect on the listeners, but it can also be interpreted in different ways. The project around the bandleader Lutz (synthesizer and programming) can look back on a successful story since the forming in 2002, with his bandmates Andy (vocals and lyrics) and Stephan (guitars),who has been in the band since 2009. In this story small highlights like supporting Project Pitchfork in Weißenfels and the 4th place at the „Battle of the Bands 2009“ contest of the Sonic Seducer Magazine are just two great basics in their history. It began in 2002 with some beer and their love for music when Lutz and Andy decided to form Blind Effects. At the beginning it was an absolute
EBM-Band and time after time other music styles were brought in because of the success of the project and Lutz experimental interests. But they always kept their origin style. In spite of the new mix of EBM, Dark Electro and Industrial their music is still unmistakable. The new hard beats and the electric guitar encourages the band’s identity within a great pool of Electronic Bands. Their sound is catchy and danceable and still not obsessive to be danceable and always down-to-earth.The clubhit „Painkiller“, which will be released on their third album „Heartland Sound Formation“ proves that. The album’s title stands as a symbol for the musicer’s origins: all three of them are living in different parts of Germany but there is
still a strong bond to their home: Midgermany.
